About The Speaker: Lorenzo Tavelli, DDS, MS is full-time assistant professor at the Department of Oral Medicine, Infection and Immunity, Division of Periodontology at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, Boston, and a diplomat of the American Board of Periodontology (ABP).
He graduated from the University of Milan and then he completed his three-year residency in periodontics and Master of Science at the University of Michigan. Dr. Tivelli joined the Department of Periodontics and Oral Medicine at University of Michigan as a clinical lecturer for 1 year before moving to the Department of Oral Medicine,
Infection and Immunity, Division of Periodontology at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, Boston where he is currently a full-time assistant professor. Dr. Tavelli's main focus in clinical research and daily practice is microsurgical and minimally invasive soft tissue grafting procedures around teeth and dental implants, where he has been pioneering the use of novel technologies - such as Power Doppler Ultrasonography - for assessing tissue perfusion changes and surgical outcomes.

Avoiding and Managing Prosthodontic Complications for the Fixed Complete Denture Prosthesis

Issues may arise not only during the implant surgery but also throughout the restorative phase and post treatment. This program will discuss the difficulties faced in restoring complete arch implant prostheses and provide insights into how to prevent and address them effectively. Additionally, I will review long-term treatments, the results, and demonstrate how continuous care can enhance success rates with implant patients.
About The Speaker: Dr. Christopher B. Marchack is a 1987 graduate of the university of the Pacific, School of Dentistry. He has received his prosthodontic certificate, in 1982, from the University of Southern California. Peri-Implantitis: Etiology, Diagnosis, Management

Peri-implantitis presents a significant challenge in modern implant dentistry, posing a threat to the longevity and success of dental implants. It is essential for clinicians to recognize and understand the etiology, risk factors and diagnosis of peri-implantitis. Detection begins with a thorough clinical examination and radiographic assessment. Treatment of peri-implantitis is challenging and unpredictable, but can be improved with early detection and intervention. This presentation aims to empower clinicians with the knowledge and tools necessary to effectively prevent, diagnose, and manage this challenging condition, ultimately improving the long-term outcomes of dental implant therapy.

About the Speaker: Dr. Dr. Klokkevold is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and Implant Surgery, and a Fellow of the American College of Dentists. He is Immediate Past President of the California Society of Periodontists, District 6 Trustee for the American Academy of Periodontology and Southern Area Representative for the West Los Angeles Dental Society. He is an Emeritus Professor of Clinical Dentistry in Periodontics and Implant Surgery.
During his 35-year tenure at UCLA, Dr. Klokkevold served as Director of the Hospital Based General Practice Residency, Co-Director of the Implant Surgical Fellowship and, for 27 years, as Director of the UCLA Postgraduate Periodontics and Implant Surgery Residency program.
Dr. Klokkevold has been invited to serve as an Expert Participant for World Workshops and International Conferences in periodontics and implant surgery. He has published over 60 peer reviewed articles and more than 100 book chapters. He is Author and Co-Editor of five editions of Newman and Carranza’s Clinical Periodontology (10th, 11th, 12th, 13th and 14th).

Technology continues to revolutionize implant dentistry. Workflows that were once cumbersome and time consuming have now been streamlined and simplified. The unique combination of CBCT and STL/Clinical scan technology has increased precision, communication and the level of surgical and restorative results. These results involve implant abutment design and selection. Different clinical scenarios call for stock abutments, custom milled abutments, angulated screw abutments, along with anatomic and custom healing abutments. The design affects the restorative outcome.

About the Speaker: Dr. Langstein founded the Center for Restorative, Cosmetic and Implant Dentistry in Chesapeake, Virginia in 1990 and while there focused on comprehensive dental treatment plans with an emphasis on aesthetics and implants. In 2024, Dr. Langstein joined the Westchester Dental Group in White Plains, NY, and has continued this tradition.
Memberships include the Academy of Osseointegration, the ITI, and the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Langstein has achieved Diplomatic status in the International Congress of Oral Implantology.
Dr. Langstein has lectured extensively on dental implants, speaking for local, regional, and international study groups, along with national dental implant conferences. He has given talks on the restorative aspects of implant dentistry, focusing on prosthetic and digital solutions and treatment planning for dental implant systems. An emphasis is placed on assisting surgeons and restorative dentists collaborate efficiently along the digital workflow.
